The SAT
There is plenty of debate as to whether or not the SAT exam ought to be this important, but one thing is certain: As of now, the SAT is very important in the college admissions process! It is also one of the parts of the admissions process where a little effort can dramatically improve your application.
The ACT
Many students who take the SAT should also take the ACT. After learning the reasoning skills that are crucial to both exams, some students perform comparatively higher on one of the two exams. Because reporting your ACT scores is optional, students essentially have everything to gain and nothing to lose from attempting this exam.

Taylor Swift’s “Fifteen” champions the idea that young heartbreaks heal. It’s a catchy song with a positive message. It’s also grammatically flawed, containing an example of singular/plural pronoun disagreement: “’Cause when you’refifteen and somebody tells you they love you/You’re gonna believe them.” The Princeton Review, wanting to connect with teens and seem relevant.
When to take the SAT
Perfectionism is the worst enemy of the SAT. But wait, I hear you say, isn’t the goal to study and memorize, and to practice and perfect as much as possible before sitting for the test? Isn’t that the whole point of signing up for a prep course, to not waste any time? To be 100% ready before ever reaching for your pencils?
When is the New SAT?
If you’re a member of the class of 2017, you’re aware that the SAT will be changing. You’ve also probably read that the redesigned format will do away with point reductions for incorrect guesses and that the essay will be optional. But do you know when the new SAT will replace the old? And did you know that figuring out the answer involves some of the same skills the SAT tests?
